I will say, Nacho is really struggling over there with Neymar. Just saw that Dani Carvajal is suspended for this match, and the difference is pronounced. Never seen Real struggle with Neymar this badly before; that's probably the main reason why.

What do you mean soft? This isn't American Football. It doesn't take much to impede a man on a run like that. He yanked his shoulder and kneed him from the back.

I only saw a shoulder grab and an excessively theatrical dive. If there was a knee in the back of the leg that brought him down, then I stand corrected. But Kroos looked like he was going down on the first sign of contact and hoping for the best, and hit the jackpot.

On second look, i was right to begin with.

Kroos dead-legs his right leg back into Lo Celso (unnaturally leaving his right leg back instead of putting it in front of him, as one would if one's intent were to keep running forward) and is already starting with the dive when there's contact. He bought and sold that penalty.

He turns his body back and to the right to make sure to draw the contact: https://www.si.com/soccer/2018/02/14...pe-bale-cavani

I’m an Everton guy so I apparently enjoy perpetual mediocrity.

That said, there is no way this game ends 0-0 and the likelihood is Spurs will need at least one goal to go through.
Spurs may need at least one goal, but one goal is probably all they will need. I assume Alderweireld will be more fully reintegrated by then. He makes a huge difference for them defensively, but wasn't even on the bench for the 1st leg because he's still working back from injury.
