    Torrey Smith

Torrey was always one of my favorite Ravens. No doubt the best receiver Ozzie ever drafted. Wish he was still a Raven, but glad to see him get another shot at a ring.

Will never forget this game under awful circumstances for Torrey.

When he had that first half drop, I smh and said that's what he's going to be remembered for. But he had a fantastic TD catch to make up for it.

My thoughts exactly. I even commented in the game thread when Aikman was saying how difficult it's been to get Torrey to do much in the offense. Then the second half came and Torrey really excelled. Nice to see Foles perfectly place the ball and not have it dropped for a great TD

    Happy for Torrey.

Though his TD catch down the left sideline gave me flashbacks to the end of NE '14 and his...ugh, "effort" on the game-sealing pick.

    Re: Torrey Smith

In retrospect I wish we would have been able to keep him, but you can't really blame Ozzie. We offered him 5/35 with 19m guaranteed but SF offered 5/40 with 22m guaranteed. He should have taken our offer, given cost of living he probably would have come out ahead, and of course he got cut by SF and ended up playing for less from Philly.

Torrey was really good friends with Rice. I think that whole situation screwed him up. His whole demeanor was different that season. Like his heart wasn't in it. I think a fresh start was what he needed. Unfortunately he ended up on a Jimless 49er team.
