Thread: Simmie Cobbs Jr

He's a good prospect...I would love to have him in the third round or so...boarderline late second.
Although Walsh's system of offense can compensate for lack of talent; however, defense is a different story. According to Walsh, talent on defense was essential and could not be compensated for. What did Walsh do in 1981? He acquired physical and talented players on defense.

Has gotten used to making those tough contested catches and adjustments due to poorly thrown passes and bad quarterbacking. 6-4 220. Tough and physical. Not very speedy though.
Minkah is going top 5. Hes one of the best Safeties to come out in a very long time
    Burn it down

I like Sutton in the first but I'd be all about double dipping on WRs early

As much as I feel we need WRs, I wouldn't double-dip early. The Ravens have too many other needs (Oline, TE, ILB, etc.). I know where you're coming from, but I wouldn't mind an early "can't miss" (LOL) WR then taking a late flyer (4th round or later) too... Bc

I like him too, but I see more of a 3rd or 4th rounder.

2nd might not be out of the question though. He reminds me a lot of Devin Funchess, which wouldn’t be a bad thing.

Agreed. There's no way he falls to us.

    Re: Simmie Cobbs Jr

Its early but Cobbs might be the type that surprises some by going earlier. Its a weaker WR draft, and its a weaker FA as well. That means teams will bite earlier, or there wont be much separating the top prospects. fluctuation between what one team values vs another could be great enough to move him up a round or two. Still rather early in the process, but he seems to possess a lot of what many teams covet and he has some good tape to back up the physical.

What ive seen so far I like a lot, if hes available in the 3rd id grab him in a heartbeat. To me, somebody will likely take him in the 2nd and if he has a strong combine/pre-draft I could see him sneaking into the first with his size/tape. Want to know why we dont end up with more WRs, its because we dont reach like other teams do and over value it. Well have to start anticipating that better.
