Re: Cap Purge When/If and how bad will it hurt?
The thought of cutting Yanda seems crazy, but when you take into account money + health moving forward, may not be so crazy.
Cut Yanda, sign Jensen and build around Jensen and Stanley on the OL.

I don't think you can entertain the idea of asking yanda to take a pay cut until his actual performance starts to dip... that hasn't happened yet... this is the first long term injury he has had and people are going on as if his career is over. Same was said about Suggs.

I would prefer to not restructure Jimmy as well. My point was more that he’s counting over $15 mill against the cap next year. If the Ravens wanted, they could restructure or (possibly) do a Post-June 1st cut. However, they’d have to carry his cap hit until then.

A lot of us felt the same way about Ngata before they traded him to Detroit.
We all felt some kind of way when Ed Reed signed with the Texans/Jets.
Realistically, Yanda is a far far far better player than Skura or Hurst are. However, if we are being objective, Skura and Hurst played pretty darn well. Plus, they’re getting Lewis and Siragusa back. And Eluemunor will have a year under his belt.
Just saying...I wouldn’t be surprised if they tried to trade Yanda and/or cut him.

Well, he did have a shoulder injury in 2016, but he was able to deal with it by switching to LG.
Not suggesting his career is over, but I do think the Ravens should see what kind of offers they could get for him. You never know...a team like the Packers or Bears could want him and be willing to trade a few mid round picks for him.
Just saying it should be on the table.
