24hour news stations have to create shit in order to be relevant. The "cling to your guns and religion" comment was on the 2008 campaign trail...and we were all trying to figure out who this IL Senator was. At the time, it was very relevant to what was going on.

"Shithole-gate" isn't relevant to anything going on anywhere, but I get your point.
