Sutton is a physical player who will fight for yards after the catch and contribute as a blocker. He plays with a chip on his shoulder."

Here's a taste of what he brings :

But if we do go that route, Ridley would be an exciting pick and unlike last season, we may actually have a shot at being the first team to draft a wide receiver in the draft (if not the Bears.)

I think that's what it'll come down to is simply what hot prospect it is that falls to us at 16. Could be a WR or even Joes eventual successor.

But I'm sure Ozzie will draft Roquan Smith instead.. who I'll admit is pretty awesome though.
You're never going to get an A type receiver in Fa we don't have the cap and teams just don't let them go. The FA wr route is nothing but retreads, has beens, or every once and a while you luck into a Sr type but he realistically only gave 1 good year of production suffered a serious injury the next year and then wasn't quite the same the year after his injury (note his opis in 16,had to physically create space)

So you trust this coaching staff to develop a rookie WR?

You all make sense to me :
wicked - that may be, but if he's there @ #16, I'd pounce.
Goode - I was never an advocate of trading up, but these last few years have changed my mind. Why wait until (if) a good player falls in your lap? Go and get him (if for a reasonable draft trade price).
DR - Yes, in another thread I wrote that he has some "Boldin" in him. What's not to like?

The Ravens are in dire need of a play-maker. Someone opposing defenses have to plan for. We can't keep going out with average Joes and expect great things to happen. Enough with the load of mid-round picks who are good enough to round out a roster, but not good enough to get us to post-season play... Bc

Well, Detroit drafted failure after failure at the WR spot before they picked up Calvin Johnson.

Given that all Ravens receivers have combined over the past three years for 34 TDs.... yes please.

Yup. You can't just cut out a position. You can change the way you evaluate the position. I'd be trying to poach any scouts with experience evaluating wide receivers for the Steelers or Saints.

Torrey turned out well enough to win a title. 11 is just a bust that can't CATCH or run routes he was a bad pick in a bad bad Wr draft class especially at the top. Even Cooper hasent been all that surprisingly enough the best wr from that class didn't go till the 5th round and played about 20 miles away and we still missed him. In the past 8 or so years we drafted two MD WRs but yet let Diggs slip right through our fingers
