I was fine with Humphrey over Howard as bad corner play has been this team's downfall since the Super Bowl. That statement doesn't include Jimmy Smith of course. It was the Bowser over Ju Ju pick that killed them. Bowser wasn't necessarily a bad pick, but they needed WR help much more and the value was there.

Personally, I didn't mind the Humphrey or Bowser picks. it was the Wormley then T. Wms picks that I didn't understand. There were quite a few pretty well regarded offensive players in the 2017 draft (3rd round) and these two picks seemed redundant... Bc

    Can't argue that. Good point.

In hindsight, imagine: Bolles, JJSS, T-Will and Hunt.

Still get a pass rusher in T-Will, no Humphrey which sucks, but you add Bolles who would be locking down the RT spot and JJSS and Hunt for out skill positions.

    Damn.

If Humphrey becomes a shutdown corner... i am taking that over a good RT in todays league any day of the week. We have found a bargain RT who is not Bolles or Wagner... but is giving us good value. I think Howard will eventually be replaced (Alex Lewis maybe?) But having Jimmy and Humphrey will certainly bode well for our future.

I hate when Ozzie drafts an Alabama player.

The only bad player ozzie drafted from Alabama was Terrence Cody. CJ Mosley, Humphrey, Jarret Johnson is a solid list. Upshaw was just an average player... but we got good value out of him as a 2nd rd pick. He was good in his edge setting role in the SB year.

Upshaw was crap. Couldn't hold the jock of johnson who he replaced and was a 5th round pick, not pick 34

He's been with the Falcons since he left, bulked up to play DL which, considering his struggles to stay in shape while here, was a good move.
