    Moore scandal

I think regardless of where you fall on the political spectrum he needs to go. Too much smoke to be just another Democrat hit job.

He needs to step aside and let Strange take over the nomination

No way is he stepping aside. The fact that Moore refused to follow the law as a judge should have been enough for Strange to win the nomination but I don't live in Alabama and will never understand that climate

It's gone from "He said/She said" to He said, she said, she said, she said, she said, she said, she said. If he's guilty he deserves all of the shit he is getting.

But anyone who defended Bill Clinton, including Hillary, needs to shut the hell up. This story always reminds me of "Oh, it's just about sex" to now everybody who's ever hit on a woman needs to get the electric chair. Either way Moore's life will never be the same. Bill Clinton just got even more popular. Makes my head spin.

    Agreed.

And I guarantee you he didn't just stop as soon as he found god. What is needed is someone to come forward who this happened to relatively recently where the statue of limitations doesn't apply

This kind tu quoque is everything that is wrong in todays society everyone is worried about what someone else did or didn't do or someone they knew got off.

It's created a sort of bubble where nothing a politician says or does matters because someone in the far distant past got away with something similar. I also don't care if Roy Moore life is ever the same and I'm under no illusions about where these allegations are coming from.

The only thing I'm concerned about is are they true which it appears they are. This isn't some smear where the people coming forward are strippers and porn stars like Trumps accusers. These are professional women. These are Moore colleagues from that period.

I agree with CincyCat on this. It's one of the reasons I hate discussing politics with people.

I equate it to talking football with someone at a Super Bowl party who doesn't know shit about football, but feels compelled to "show their smarts" in a conversation.

This prior election had more ignorant people in recent memory "showing their smarts" on FB, Twitter, and every other form of social media than ever before. It's died down a little since last year, but when people were defending HRC as a champion for women and someone who is honest...those people need to STFU and go away. The same situation applies to all these losers coming out of the cracks to knock Moore, yet never cared about it when Slick Willie was raked through the mud for far worse.

If ur at a SB Party and someone begins to lay into u about Ray Lewis being a murderer...you either walk away and don't engage or get annoyed and set the ignorant person straight. It seems like that type of ignorant person is more prevalent in today's society than ever before. It's annoying as fuck!

I think I was quite clear in saying the people who defended Bill Clinton. They have no right to chime in on this now.

    That was your take? Lol.

I really threw out a non-partisan statement and that's how you read it?

Ignoring/defending an alleged rapist but coming down hard on Moore wreaks of ignorance and hypocrisy IMO.

As I stated, situations like this make discussing politics annoying. I'm pretty sure most people agree on this sentiment.

Looks like the Moore situation took an interesting turn today. I have no idea if this guy is guilty or not, but the timing is so suspicious after what happened right before an election with Mark Foley. It led the news every night until the Democrats won. Then it just went away.

    Seems like yesterday: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mark_Foley_scandal

If your take on non-partisan is all defenders of Bill (liberals) are idiots and should shut the fuck up and believe the allegations like you do, i think youre highly lacking understanding of what bi-partisan means.

defending Moore and condemning Bill also wreaks of hypocrisy all the same, which is my point. Out of the 2, only one has been on trial and those accusations dismissed or never having had those accusations warrant charges in the first place. Theres still plenty of smoke there, but to take a blanket statement of defending Bill as not a rapist (those claims arent so strongly supported as sexual harassment, lying, cheating clearly are), based on more evidence thats come out since, while challenging and/or trying to dismiss any accusations against Moore, is exactly the lack of consistency youre apparently outraged over, yet youre agreeing with. Im not the one thats repeatedly said waiting 40 years to come out is odd, while also taking the word of person that waited 20 years at face value. Same can be said for the Hollywood accusations that are being taken at face value immediately. You can see it so simply in the way that its talked about "holywood filth" finally getting what they deserve vs "well lets wait this Moore situation out". The hypocrisy is clear and its every bit political based.

Bills not a good dude, and clearly has issues with loyalty, lying, and abusing his position, which i dont really see people defending. Theres plenty of smoke around him but when you start talking about guilty, then you need to assume Moore is as well because the evidence of such is the exact same (personal account). Bills guilty of a lot, but when you throw out rape, its not so definitive. not to be lost in all of this, Moore's a pedophile. Clinton's alleged victims were all in their 20s-30s and even 50s, consent was possible and therefore questionable at least (and there is plenty of questions by their own friends/family/co-workers). Moores victims couldnt possibly give consent, so it takes that whole part of doubt out of question, which is why its easier to appear to "come down hard" on Moore at this point in the discovery for many.
