Re: Are we a better team with Mallet at QB?
I've never liked him, he's an asshole and a backup for a reason.

I don’t think so. Mallett has a cannon for an arm, but has even less touch and accuracy than Joe.

Re: Are we a better team with Mallet at QB?
To answer the OP question, uh, NO!
And even this guy could answer that.

Re: Are we a better team with Mallet at QB?
Mallett is the hotshot talent who truly never matured enough to maximize his potential. He'll give you a game here and there, but expecting much from him for any long stretch is asking for trouble. Everything that people say Flacco is in work ethic and maturity, Mallett actually is.

This board is a little too attached to Flacco and think he's better then he actually is. You replace Flacco with Mallett all year, and he'd likely have similiar numbers and record. Neither QB is good at this point of their careers.

Re: Are we a better team with Mallet at QB?
And a guy who is 31st in the league in passer rating isn't?
They're both terrible, there wouldn't be much difference at all with whoever we throw out there. At least the offense might not try to force the pass quite as much if we had Mallett.
Which shutout game would we have lost, do you think?
