Venom was surprisingly better than expected. I enjoyed it.

I don't care to see Solo. I like Star Wars but I have no interest in Solo. Looking forward to the Mandalorian series though.

White Boy Rick was good. Dude got fucked over big time though

A neat side note on White Boy Rick.....the teenage boy in the movie “Rick” is from Dundalk , Md.

2 episodes in. Need to take a cooking break before the games start. Hope to squeeze in 1 or 2 more today. Intriguing so far!

Solo is my least favorite Star Wars movie, on par with Attack of the Clones. Lando scenes were about the only part of it I enjoyed, as I thought it was a much more believable portrayal of a young Lando than a young Han. I honestly hated it.

So, I've reluctantly been watching Outlander with my wife the past few months. We're at the end of season 2. Although it's full on girl porn at times, the show is also well written, acted, directed and edited.

They make Jamie (the main guy character) take off his shirt a ridiculous amount of times, but the drama and battle scenes are impressive. It does have a Battlestar Galactica feel in the way it's able to make you identify with characters in a short amount of time on screen.

I'm also on episode 3 of Watership Down. So far, it's disturbing but gripping. For an animated series about rabbits, I've been on the edge of my seat a lot.

We watched the first season of Outlander and a couple episodes of the 2nd. I enjoyed it for the most part, but it got to be too much graphic rape for my wife and we weren't invested enough in it to keep going like we were when Game of Thrones got real bad with that.

Yeah, that's the part that almost made me stop. There's a lot of rape. Maybe even more than GoT? The season 1 finale scenes almost made me quit. I bet I can guess what season 2 event was the final straw for your wife. Black Jack Randall is a reprehensible character. All that said, I'm glad I stuck around. The show has hit its stride.

Tried watching the first season but it was way too boring and slow. I kept falling asleep. Lol. Gave up on it.

Yeah, I read the part you are referencing. I am actually glad we didn't make it that far because that would have been worse. We stopped after the scene with the youngish girl in the alley in like the 2nd or 3rd episode of S2. That stuff is a trigger for my wife so for us to watch anything like that we have to be invested in the story and it has to have meaning for advancing the story, and I just felt a lot of it in that show is rape for the sake of rape. I am glad to hear positive impressions though, because I really did like the story. Maybe one day I will revisit it on my own.

It's been a while since I've watched the first few seasons, but I don't think Game of Thrones has had anything as bad as Outlander. The closest would probably be Ramsay and Sansa but that was off screen.

So, I'm not sure how to truly recommend an animated, depressing, dire story about rabbits fighting each other, but man, Watership Down was gripping. I just wish they spent more money on making the animation look more detailed.

So the girlfriend, roommate, and i have been on a Game of Thrones tear. She never seen it and i wanted her caught up for the new season, we just finished season 4 in around 3 weeks....yea, a damn lot of tv. Lot of things that i didnt catch the first time or that i just forgot, but going through again is just as good. but watched some others

IO on Netflix. Usually i love movies about earth failing and all the science stuff about saving it....but i hated this one. Just slow, boring, pointless. Steer clear in my opinion.

Widows- Pretty good, but wouldnt have made my top ten list of movies last year, was expecting more, but maybe that was due to the hype. Reminded me of The Town and Den of Thieves, which both were better.

True Detective- so far so good, definitely not disappointing. Has the same feel of the first season, southern style.

We watched The Cable Guy last night. I enjoy most of his movies, but it is IMO Jim Carey's best. He's SO GOOD in it.

I love movies where the lead actor is known for a different genre and they play something way outside of that. Robin Williams in Insomnia or One Hour Photo are a couple of other examples of these.
