Re: The Movies/TV thread
Has anyone seen the movie Searching? Or the Netflix show Safe?
*spoilers for both*
They're effectively the same plot.
- Father and daughter are on their own after the mother died of cancer.
- Father can't talk to the daughter about the mother's death, but instead becomes overly involved in the daughter's day-to-day life.
- Daughter goes missing, and the father has to break into her social media accounts to track where she is, and interviews friends of her.
- Father realizes he didn't actually know his daughter, and suspects his best friend/brother of horrible things that turn out not to be true.
- In the end, the daughter shows up alive. The female detective confesses to being behind the whole thing as an attempt to save her son from jail time. It's the same plot and ending plot twist.

Re: The Movies/TV thread
Very nice pickup.
Searching was interesting because of how they used the camera angles (through devices) and i was really interested to see how they did it. I thought it worked well and enjoyed it
The show Safe i liked as well. Definitely a lot of twists and unsuspecting turns, i recommend both“I'm the best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be.” - Bret Hart

Re: The Movies/TV thread
We watched that 2002 movie Ghost Ship on Netflix the other night. Every time I see it I always wonder how a movie with such a great opening (it is the one where the people are dancing on the cruise ship and then a wire slices all of them in half) could end up being so bad the rest of the way. I worked at Blockbuster when that came out and we had a great many discussions on it lol.

I crushed hard on Jessica Biel in the Texas Chainsaw remake that came out around 2003. Woowee.
