They are basically the same movie. I like El Dorado, I think it is funnier.

I watched it on Max the other day. Parts are very interesting and other parts not so much. It suffers from telling too many stories at once. And has a 3 hour run time at that. I guess because it was originally designed to be four films then you don’t get all of the character development in this one that you would expect. I do want to see the next one to see how it develops further though but I fear Costner may not get to have all four movies like he envisioned for this story.
I never found the concept appealing. It seemed to me, in my opinion, that it was a Costner ego-driven project. Yellowstone propelled him back to the top. It went to his head; I think he thought he was the reason the show was so successful. Now, granted, he is a huge reason it is portraying John Dutton. Yet the other characters, like Casey, Rip, and especially Beth, make the show. So he got into it with Taylor Sheridan because of Horizon and basically ended Yellowstone.

I say this because I watch Tulsa King with Sylvester Stallone and Mayor of Kingstown with Jeremy Renner, and they are among the best TV programs on the planet. Now, if Sly and Renner can keep their egos in check and enjoy the ride, which it seems they both do, the shows rock. I mean, Sly is a powerhouse compared to Costner.

My belief was Coster thought the Yellowstone viewers were going to flock to his ho-hum western. It didn't happen, hence you have the end of Yellostone and Costners costly flop.

I agree about Yellowstone. The characters outside of John are way more interesting. Tulsa king was fantastic and I ended up liking it more than Yellowstone overall. I haven’t watched mayor of Kingstown yet although I hear it is very good. I like Renner a lot and one of my favorite movies I’ve seen in the last few years was wind river

Took the family to see Beetlejuice 2 last night.

Overall I would say it was pretty good from a nostalgia standpoint, definitely worth a watch. I would not shell out $100 like I did seeing it at the theater with the family though.

Micheal Keaton is great, not in it nearly enough. Not enough funny parts in my opinion with him.

THe other characters. Jenna oRtega is great as usual. But Winnona Ryder and her step mom both characters just felt off like not the same character.

This movie though could have been so much better. This movie looks like 2 different movies merged into 1 movie and it just did not fit and did not mesh well. The movie big bad is a ghost woman, beetlejuice 1st wife who comes back seeking revenge. Neither her or him are seen together until a few minutes left in the final act and every scene with her just made zero sense. There is also some new characters that were good, but did not fit at all in the movie. Danny Devito has a cool short cameo. Willem Dafoe was great as usual but the character made no sense and as with the big bad, was not in any scences with the main characters the entire movie.

I saw Beetlejuice today as well. My wife liked it, I was bored, but I am not a fan of the original Beetlejuice either, so this movie wasn't for me. The original Beetlejuice isn't something I ever watched as a kid so I have no nostalgia for it, the first time I ever saw it was just a couple years ago.

As for the new one, I actually stepped out midway through and checked some football scores and stuff on my phone. Just not my kind of movie, not something I see in theater, I'll put it that way. It's the kind of movie I'd "watch" at home while I can scroll on my phone. It's not something that can hold my attention for 2 hours in a theater. To be honest the only thing that does that today is a horror movie.

The worst thing about Beetlejuice 2 is when late in the movie Jenna Ortega’a character refers to the two Asps as ‘poisonous snakes’ when in fact it is ‘venomous snakes’. Nearly ruined the entire movie for my autistic ass. How hard is it to get that right?

For me the worst part was the stupid animation showing the dead (now banned from Hollywood Pedophile actor/dad) and the Saturn sand worms. The 1989 Beetle juice sand worms looked better than 2024 version.

Why not return Gina Davis, and Baldwin and De age them? Those two characters were more key to the original movie than the red headed step mom. I think this movies story was really lazy and just poor

Beetlejuice should have been in it way more.

Watched Horizon (western with Kevin Costner). I liked it, overall I think it was a good depiction of what life was like during this era. It jumped around alot, and the ending where the final few minutes is just preview for the 2nd part was kind of dumb.

For Costner being the lead, he seemed to not even be in it much.

Has a good cast definitely worth a watch

Ummm didn’t Michael keaton stipulate that he wouldn’t do it if he got more screen time than he did in the first movie?

Saw there is going to be a sequel to Passion of the Christ. Jesus 2: Joseph Strikes Back? The beginning of the Jesus Cinematic Universe???? Proof Hollywood will make a sequel to anything.
