Seen it. I think that was a very good depiction of that disaster of a festival. That whole show was ticking time bomb. Poor planning. Too many angry , drugged up kids. And Angry music ( limp biscuit , Korn) among others. I believe every report from that show.

Side note. Was actually suppose to go to ‘99 Woodstock. Couldn’t get off work. Glad I didn’t go now. And I live for good live music.

Won’t get political here but ….man I will NEVER understand why and how we just don’t /won’t embrace black culture. And other cultures for that matter. Such a beautiful sight there in ‘69! One big groovy family! But I digress.

Sly and Stevie tore the place up! You’d never get huge artist like that to perform for free now.

I saw the Jason momoa movie sweet girl or something and man it sucked. 9 out of 10 movies suck nowadays. Every time I try to give something a chance I end up regretting it. Sometimes I’m pleasantly surprised.
I just saw Once upon a time in Hollywood and thought it was ok. It wasn’t terrible...

Yeah man I felt the vibes just from watching it on TV. Can't imagine what it must have been like to be there in person. Sly and the Family Stone were ahead of there time. Or maybe they came along at the perfect time. I also liked the Staple Singers and Mahalia Jackson. It was a crazy mixture of different genres. I don't know if we would see the same variety today - music has become corporatized.

And I agree. We as Americans should embrace all cultures.

I didn't like that movie either. It could have been so much better.

Couldn't agree more. I also love blues and jazz, which wouldn't exist without them. Arguably rock n roll too!

Exactly! Elvis himself admitted he made black music for white people. Lol.

I mean look at that free concert. BB King! Sly and the Family Stone, Stevie Wonder, Gladys Knight! All for FREE! Such great music.
