I'm actually on American Assassin right now on chapter 11. The books are phenomenal. Vince Flynn knew how to write a thriller.
Im going to have to check those out.

Start with Term Limits by Vince Flynn.

Then American Assassin. Read them in chronological order, not order of release. Apparently they're much better that way.

"The Wire" was probably the best tv show ever made. My all time favorite. "Sopranos" second.

Recently started binge watching "Ray Donavan", first couple of seasons were very interesting, season 5 not so much.

"Justice League" was a pleasant surprise.

S4 of Bosch just wrapped and should be streaming in Feb or Mar.

It's essentially Michael Connelly's books (about former Army ranger, now LA homicide detective, Harry Bosch) on TV.
Connelly is very much involved in the production.

I like it b/c it dives into the secondary/supporting characters as well.

Bosch himself (Titus Welliver) is not squeaky-clean nor often personable, which makes the show a good watch.
Jamie Hector (Marlo from The Wire) is Bosch's partner.
Lance Reddick (Lt, Capt, Commissioner Cedric Daniels - The Wire) is well, to un-spoil things, is a command-level police official above Bosch.

Saw Frontier's pilot last week and it instantly reminded me of "Taboo" (see up thread for my take/summary), but not as dark, and w/o the witchcraft/mysticism.
