If you have never watched Dexter, I urge you to begin immediately. Its a truly awesome show. The show is based on police foresics guy who is a serial killer who hunts down and kills other killers in order to satisfy his homicidal urges.

    The show is really good.
I've watched season 1. I was wondering if I need to watch season 2 in order to follow the prequel.

    No not really

new series is just showing Dexter with his stepfather still alive, him getting hired with Miami metro and his life leading up to what he becomes.

They did a phenominal job with the casting. Its got a great 90s sound track

Saw Brave New World. Overall I enjoyed it far more than most recent Marvel fare. Spoilers ahead.

Red Hulk - never explained why he is red and the trailers give you basically all of what you see of red Hulk. The transformation doesn’t happen until the very end and isn’t even teased until over halfway through. So if you want a lot of that, it’s not here.

Plot - involves a character from the 2008 Hulk, mind control, wants to ‘show the world who Thaddeus Ross is’. The villain is whatever, basically another Zemo, in fact it’s basically rehashing a lot of Winter Soldier, which is fine because that’s my favorite Marvel movie but it also doesn’t add anything and ultimately is just an inferior version.

The celestial from Eternals - a major plot point as that is apparently where Adamantium is going to come from. One of the best larger scale while still being grounded Marvel action scenes that involves Sam and Falcon trying to stop the above villain from mind controlling American fighters to attack the Japanese.

Harrison Ford is as good as ever.

Some throwaway bits like Ross' security girl being a Widow. Not sure that will play into the future. She is not a major part of the movie in any case.

Brief cameo from Bucky but nothing else to speak of with that.

No major development towards Doom or additional X Men in the movie or post credits. There better be some real forward movement on the new Avengers being formed and Doom being revealed soon considering we've only got two more films before Doomsday.

It's not one of the peak Marvel films but it's entertaining and since I know some of you care about it, I don't think you all will find any "woke" stuff to be annoyed with. I enjoyed it.

Would definitely recommend rewatching 2008 Hulk and Falcon and Winter Soldier series before watching.

Watched a movie called The Dead dont die. Comedy zombie movie. It has a well known cast, overall its an enjoyable watch. No real great plot, nothing special but just an enjoyable cast of characters

3 episodes into Reacher season 3. Its been ok, it starts out so incredibly stupid though. The plot as has been in every season is just absurdly stupid and could be so much better

Took my son to see Captain American Brave new World last night.

The movie has more of the Winter Soldier Vibe to it than it does a normal Marvel movie. Its not on par with how good the winter solider is though. Not even close.

I am not an Anthony Mackie fan. I dont like his acting. His first suit which is same from the series I also think looks stupid. He finally wears Caps old suit and at least looks better.

Jean Carlo esposito character was very good, but completely wasted. They could have done so much with him. He is such a great actor and could have been a great villian

The main bad villian does a good job, but in no way shows his powers or ability which was quite underwhelming as usual. Marvel just absolutely sucks at writing villians.

Harrison ford does a very good job, but William Hurt would have done the character much better. Such a shame he passed away.

This movie though felt like it made no sense. They do not reference Mark Ruffalos Hulk, instead its the 2009 INcredible Hulk Norton version, and there is even a Liv Tyler scene. I get its because of the main villian but still does not make sense.

I have to disagree with the (No woke stuff).
The whole 5' 90lb woman (Supposed Widow) character was incredibly stupid and made no sense in the movie. Just a god awful character.

The lead secret service female agent. Her character was terrible and made no sense. Felt completely forced to be put into the movie.

I loved the dumb long road trip journey in their Hummer Electric truck. Felt incredibly stupid.

For me the best parts of the movie. The Isaiah bradley character. He is like the 2nd Captain America character. He has an interesting story I wish they told more of. I also really like the actor. I also really liked the Jean Carlo bad guy character. They just did not do him justice

The end fight scene was pretty lousy. The Bucky cameo was pretty stupid. He is in for like 2 minutes.

Its better than The eternals but its way down the list of great Marvel movies for me.

No, you don't need it, but until season 7 it will keep you busy.
season 8, you can skip it or see a summary and that's it, it's very weak compared to the others.
then, Dexter new blood, which is a single season, and then yes, the new dexter

Home taking care of my son yesterday who was sick, both this movie, and then there was a predator marathon on. I never noticed but both Predator and Judgement Night movie have almost the exact same suspense music. I do not know how they got away with not getting sued, but both movies literally seem to have the same theme music. Anyone who has not seen it, need to check out judgement night. Under rated 90s movie

Been binge watching Game of Thrones all over again. Such a great series.
There is a CD with the soundtrack of the movie that is tremendous: living color & Run dmc, House of pain, biohazard, ice t, slayer, cypress hill, faith no more, mudhoney, Pearl jam

Yeah that movie has a good soundtrack. I am pretty sure the House of pain singer is one of the bad guys in the movie.

It sounds like her liver transplant failed. GVH, no doubt.

    Gene Hackman RIP.
Really sad when we lose all time greats. He was so good in so many good movies.

Something fishy there - maybe carbon monoxide poisoning. His young wife and dog were also found dead.
