I had no problem with throwing it underneath, if the WRs had been told to just slide to preserve the clock. You don't need that extra few yards when your kicker has a cannon. Originally Posted by WrongBaldy

The two wasted timeouts came up big there. In both of those plays they looked like they don’t even practice

You need a WR with awareness not to extend the play, and a QB who can move fast enough to spike. It also would help not to have a coaching staff that has not planned far enough in advance that they need to call TO immediately before kicking FG to discuss kicking a FG. But he doesn't call timeout in the 2011 playoffs, when Cundiff and the FG unit were scrambling to get onto the field before the play clock expired. Originally Posted by bst3975
