Re: Flacco: What was the plan when he was drafted?
Ryan or Flacco going forward may be a closer call

Re: Flacco: What was the plan when he was drafted?
He's NEVER EVER won a playoff game on the road and you think he could go into Foxboro and win? Come on Man. He couldn't score a single point against the Giants and you think he could go into probably the toughest place in all of sports to play and win. No chance. No chance in hell

Re: Flacco: What was the plan when he was drafted?
Yeah, Matt Ryan could never have put up better performances than these:
2008 AFC Champship: 13 of 30 for 141 yds, zero TDs 3 INTs
2009 Divisional Round: 20 of 35 for 189 yds, zero TDs 2 INTs
2010 Wildcard Round in Foxboro: 4 of 20 for 30 yds, zero TDs 1 INT (a game we WON!)
2010 Divisional Round: 16 of 30 for 125 yds, 1 TD 1 INTs
Only a real winner could perform adequately in those games.

Re: Flacco: What was the plan when he was drafted?
Yeah, and I'd argue that if Ryan got Ray Lewis, Ed Reed, Terrell Suggs, Haloti Ngata et al his entire career, he'd put up a great record too.
It doesn't cut only one way. One player had a great defense for his first 5 years in the league, probably top 2 for the whole span, and got to go to the playoffs every year. The other didn't.
