SSSr was Boldins replacement after they FAILED miserably with Stokley. Now compare TEs with how they have drafted signed FA safties and WRs with CBs and it's not even close. Hell they left their number 1 receiver go to sign a bag of shit safety. Let alone then burning a first round pick on Elam

Revisionist history.

Most people had Elam ranked as a 1st rounder that may slide into the top of the 2nd round. Elam went exactly where most pundits had him going.

Senior was signed in 2014. Boldin was let go in 2013. They were expecting Tandon Doss to step up and replace Boldin. They also assumed Pitta would be a good replacement for the types of routes Boldin was running, which isn't really that illogical if you look at Pitta's usage. they couldn't predict Pitta would get hurt like he did. That's a freak accident.
