Wishbone baby! We would have the league on its heels for 5 quarters or so.

Not very many people will get excited about this, but the 49ers cut Eric Rogers, who was (at one time) the top D-III WR, and went on to be the top WR in the CFL.

    Long article about him here:

    http://mmqb.si.com/mmqb/2016/03/22/e...nfl-chip-kelly

Rogers caught 91 passes for 1,298 yards and 18 touchdowns as a Senior, earning D-III All-America honors.

Rogers broke into the starting lineup for the Calgary Stampeders in 2015, with spectacular results: 87 catches for 1,448 yards and 10 touchdowns in 17 games.

He tore his ACL in training camp last year. Worth a shot in my opinion. We have no one. Rogers is 6'3" 210.

Watkins is hard to evaluate he's always hurt. I honestly couldnt even give an opinion. BPR may be able to.

I feel like the Bills would keep him, (even if he walks next year), because They probably want to know if he is legit or not as well.

Sammy Watkins now in a great position. If he plays up to his capabilities, he will be one of the most sought-after free agents next winter.
If that's the case they'll just franchise him

The 49ers WR situation is as bad as ours. If they aren't even willing to bring him to camp that's not a good sign. He's probably a league minimum guy so the money isn't an issue

That's the danger of trading up. If Buffalo would have stayed put they could have drafted Odell Beckham and kept their #1 the following year.

Are the Steelers going to keep all six of these guys?

    A. Brown
    M. Bryant
    Eli Rogers
    S. Coates
    Heyward-Bey
    Smith-Schuster

Heyward Bay would be the most likely to get cut, and he is Torrey smith with even worse hands. There is no way I would want him on our team unless we had a bunch of slot guys and his only job was to run deep every play and never have the ball thrown to him

Yeah, but don't forget Sexy Rexy was the coach then and he wanted to make a big splash so he orchestrated a really big, bad trade!

I do not know why some people around here still think he was a decent HC! He was a good DC but he still made dumb defensive decisions (Frank Walker on an island, etc., etc.).

After he gets fired from his new commentator gig, he'll probably end up on some home shopping network selling assorted NFL apparel.

Yeah, but he was also a player brought in by Chip Kelly, and then was injured, so it's not like Lynch and the new regime have any allegiance to Rogers as a player either.

According to the article, 16 teams were interested, and he chose the 49ers.

I'd have trouble finding too many teams whose WR corps is in worse shape than ours.

I think we can all agree that no one of consequence is going to get cut.
