Re: What's the plan to fill out the offense?

    Good read on Chris Matthews:

    https://www.si.com/nfl/2017/01/31/ch...uper-bowl-xlix

His career has really been hampered by unlucky injuries and bad timing.

Hope for him and the Ravens that he gets it all together this year.

    Damn...respect...

"Early in Baltimore’s final preseason game, against the Saints, he tore a ligament in his right thumb while blocking on a punt return. “Tore it all the way through,” he says. “My thumb was just hanging there.”

It was only after the game was over—Matthews caught five passes for 64 yards—that he informed the trainers. The injury required season-ending surgery..."

That's a tough SOB right there.
I only strained ligs in my thumb back in the diggity--hurt like hell--and immediately turned me into a body catcher for the rest of the season.

Cruz is apparently choosing between Ravens and Bears.

Re: What's the plan to fill out the offense?

Frankly, not a very believable conspiracy theory.

If the team had decided to phase out the guy, why go through the charade of putting him on the field but ordering Eli not to throw to him? That makes no sense. Just sit him if you don't want him to run up big numbers. Under his theory, the Giants purposely played "a man down" just to avoid him doing well and making it tough on them.

    Bullshit.

If he was really capable of a 1,000-yard, ten-TD season, what team wouldn't be thrilled to benefit from that and welcome "a good problem to have" in finding a way to pay a great player?

    Bullshit.

Frankly, after reading this, I want no part of the guy. I want no part of a guy who blames others for his decline. He's five years removed from the kind of numbers he claims he should have put up last year.

Give me Anquan Boldin every day over a guy like this.

I don't even see why Boldin would leave Detroit.

He might not. Supposedly they still have an offer out to him but the pay is minimal. My guess is that Boldin is looking for a better deal. Some one here said he wanted to play near his home in Florida. That could be part of it as well
