Re: Ravens Draft Picks From 2012 - 2015
Guys who are still Ravens
2012:
8 drafted
0 still ravens
2013:
10 draft
1 still a Raven
2014:
9 draft
6 still Ravens
2015 doesn't really count. Tray (RIP) passed away and Meyers is still around.
Some disappointing numbers. That 2012 class is just sosososososos bad. KO is the lone bright spot"Cause if you ain’t pissed off for greatness, that just means you’re okay with being mediocre, and ain’t no man in here okay with just basic.”

Re: Ravens Draft Picks From 2012 - 2015
The 2012 draft never bothered me. In hindsight that draft was about adding to a Super Bowl caliber team where needed. Although Minnesota picked safety Harrison Smith with the pick they got from us in Rd 1. Smith is a pro bowler. If the Ravens don't trade back and they actually take Harrison Smith then perhaps they never make the disastrous Elam pick in 2013. But then again Courtney Upshaw causes the fumble in the Super Bowl which turns into a Pitta TD. Both starting safeties, Reed and Pollard, make game changing plays throughout the season and playoffs.
KO was a solid pick for the 4 years he played here. Bernard Pierce was a great complement to Ray Rice in 2012, but of course fell off after the Super Bowl.
The pick I really like was Asa Jackson. I thought he was going to be another Lardarius Webb. To bad it never happened.
The rest of the 2012 draft was just bad.

I remember how excited the Ravens were getting Gino Gradkowski. There were so many quotes about how much they liked this kid which is why they took him a little early. That went away after watching him play for a year.

This just illustrates how bad the Elam , Brown and Brooks picks were. These guys pan out and we save millions upon millions!

So many people rail on the 2013 draft and rightfully so, but that 2012 draft is really just as bad, if not worse. At least the 2013 draft, while terrible in the first two rounds, produced three guys who are among the best in the league at their positions.
2014 is pretty yucky too, getting by only on how good Mosley is right now.

2015 is going to be really bad if Williams and Perryman don't both take huge steps forward. Looking back at these drafts it's no wonder the team has been to the playoffs once in the last 4 years

2014 - first offensive playmaker taken = Round 4 TE Gilmore
2013- first offensive playmaker taken - Round 5 FB Juice
2012- Pierce RB round 3.
bravo Ozzie, way to build a balanced team.

That's not good news. The scouting reports on Maxx Williams were very good. He hasn't looked anything like predicted since he's been here.

"The Ravens had to get ahead of the Pittsburgh Steelers here because Heath Miller is getting older. Williams has a really good catch radius. He reminds me of Kyle Rudolph; a great athlete with big hands." -- Mike Mayock
SOURCES TELL US "That Minnesota tight end came across as all about himself from what people in our room said (at the combine). They were a little turned off by him." -- NFC regional scout
NFL COMPARISON Jeremy Shockey
BOTTOM LINE Pass-catching, move tight end with straight-line play speed and an ability to stretch defenses deep. Williams comes from NFL bloodlines and has the self confidence often found in a former player's son, but he needs to improve his route running in order to become a more complete receiving threat. Williams led all college tight ends with 9 explosive catches (25-plus yards) in 2014 and should be an early target for teams looking for pass-catching weapons.
