Greg Cosell on up coming Ravens Pats match up

He thinks it will be an interesting one if the same Ravens offense from the Miami game.

Can't say I disagree with him.

Offense shows up = we have a chance
Offense takes a Monday evening nap = we're fucked

    I don't know.
I'm still more concerned about our defense napping.
Those two 14 point leads are still stuck in my crawl.

Belichick and Brady are experienced enough to not allow Flacco to go off and still put up some points on us regardless of who they're missing.
No way we see a repeat of what our offense did against Miami but that shouldn't be needed anyway as long as the defense plays the whole game.

I hope the Dolphins game wasn't an anomaly. If Joe insisted on taking control and that was the result, hats off to him. I hope he keeps it up because I don't think Pitt will make it easy to win the division. And Brady and Belichick are way too savvy to let Flacco be on fire like that for an entire game. Gronk being out is huge but they're still stocked with great TEs and receivers. And I don't know where their defense ranks overall, but I would imagine they're no pushover. I want to watch the game, but I don't want to watch it ! Brady scares me.

With even moderate protection, Joe will clown cover-3.
BB knows this, so Joe is not going to see much of it at all.

If our offense plays like we did last Sunday, we can play with any team in the league. What we saw Sunday was a team capable of winning a SB. Question is, was it an aberration or finally a sign of things clicking on offense? At this point, I'm inclined to go with the former, but we'll see what happens on Monday. If the offense plays well and we win in Foxborough, a lot of sphincters are going to constrict in NE, Pittsburgh, Oakland, KC, Denver, Seattle, and Dallas.

The thing about all these passes is that Joe power. Offensive coordinators can design plays like that til Tuesday but there is only one other QB who can fire kinetic energy projectiles through a defense like what we saw on Sunday. That velocity makes him singularly difficult to defend. The defenders have less time to react. Defenders have more territory to defend because that arm strength puts strong passes where others can only reach with floaters. If Joe has time and the mental aspects of his game are working he can be unstoppable.

I don't think the defense can hold up for 4qrtrs so we have to go toe to toe with them if we are going to have a chance in this one. It's the only way, the defense will give us some opportunities it won't be much, but we are going to have to score touchdowns.

    LOL, maybe so, butt...

You're right, Hot. At my age I'd rather see Flacco throwing a TD pass or have a ham sandwich for that matter... Bc

Amendola out. Double Edelman and dare them to run the ball. Ravens win.
