Steelers lost Cam Heyward for the year with a torn pec
Best player on that defense after Shazier.
7th-year DE Ricardo Matthews is next man up. Originally 7th round pick of Colts in 2010.
Steelers fans reacting like season is over, but they can still make do without him if their offense comes around.Last edited by Filmstudy; 11-15-2016 at 11:15 PM.

Re: Steelers lost Cam Heyward for the year with a torn pec
from PFT :
http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/1...gers-left-hand
Sammie Coates has two broken fingers :
"The news about Heyward came shortly after Steelers coach Mike Tomlin announced that wide receiver Sammie Coates has been dealing with two broken fingers, which helps to explain his declining production.
Tomlin on Tuesday cited Coates' "broken fingers on his hand" limiting his ability as a wide receiver, and a source says Coates has fractured ring and index fingers on the same left hand, including tendon damage. He hurt the index finger in Week 5 against the New York Jets, and he fractured the ring finger in a later game."

You sure it's a torn pec and not whiplash from watching Zeke Elliott whiz by him?

Isn't a torn pec what Suggs is now playing through?

Re: Steelers lost Cam Heyward for the year with a torn pec
heyward is probably their best defensive player. they already have a lot of issues as a pass defense, now youre going to start seeing some issues as a run defense as well.
not good for them, which somehow everyone still predicts them to just do a 180 and be fine for the playoffs. I dont see it. Theyre simply not that good of a team. Their offense isnt even as good as advertised, but even if that was hitting on all cylinders, their defense is still a huge liability.Last edited by JAB1985; 11-16-2016 at 11:05 AM.

That's a bum deal.
Heyward is definitely their best player on Defense. Shazier is a very talented, athletic guy who shows flashes of terrific play (when he's healthy), but Heyward is full-time solid gold.
I don't cheer injuries. I wish him all the best in his recovery.

Big loss for a defense that isn't as good as advertised as usual.
