Re: Kaepernick Protesting American Flag
Who cares? He has the right to protest anything he wants.

It's kaperdick clinging by the fingernails as he hangs over the cliff of obscurity.

Re: Kaepernick Protesting American Flag
+1. IMO, this is classic Kap clamoring for attention. It's unfortunate that he is attempting to use social issues as a way to get his named tossed around. While I'm not advocating/picking sides in this debate (As this is a Ravens' forum), I can't help but feel like this detracts from more than it adds to the cause.
It comes at such an odd time as well, when there is an open competition at QB. If you're Chip, do you take the QB who seems to be focused on his game, or the theatrics surrounding it?

So happy he's in California - he belongs there.

Re: Kaepernick Protesting American Flag
Doesn't seem like the hat was meant to be an original idea. Martin and Malcolm are the two go-to figures as a symbol of protest so choosing one of them makes sense.
Kaepernick's history of self-aggrandizing no doubt makes it hard for some people to look at this stand as anything more than the same thing. It does however line up with his recent history of speaking out. He has refused to stand before and spoke out about the shooting of Philando Castile. This particular instance just happened to garner more attention.
