Eagles OT Jason Peters most vocal Eagle on Suggs: "He was trying to take a cheap shot at the quarterback. I'm pretty sure he planned it." - Jeff Zrebiec @jeffzrebiecsun 2h2 hours ago

Re: Suggs hit on Bradford
Infuriatiating. If you are going to run the option the qb is going to get drilled. At least in a sane football world.

Re: Suggs hit on Bradford
Because the QB didn't have the ball and the hit was too low.
I understand Suggs' frustration but the rules are rather clear.

Re: Suggs hit on Bradford
Hitting a QB that low while he's in the pocket is going to draw a flag. They would rather have a defensive player complain about how it's unfair than risk a QB. All positions are not treated the same in the NFL.

Re: Suggs hit on Bradford
Then ban the freaking option. I ran it in hs and it was kill the qb. How the hell are they supposed to know who has the ball?
We stunk but that option stuff irks me.

Re: Suggs hit on Bradford
Exactly.
If you're going to alliow that type of play then the QB is fair game in a running play type situation.
If the QB is not passing the ball he is essentially a potential runner in that situation. There is no way that a rusher can pull up that fast if the qb decides to hand the ball off rather then run it in that type of play call. IT's the risk you run with your QB when running that type of play. THere's reasons why QBs like Manning, Brady, etc. don't run that type of play. IF you have a QB that has had multiple knee injuries it would probably behoove you not to run that type of play either. Will Die A Ravens Fan!!
