Re: For us young guys: compare Bert Jones to Joe Flacco
Latest poll is from March of 2014? Tony's history of telling it like it is , supports your views. How is Tony suppose to be the ultimate source of QBs and what are his credentials? Grasping at anything now, you've already supplied a top QB list that you wanted to prove you were right. But turned out to show you were wrong again. Need to give it up, you're looking like a horse's rear end with these latest polls.
The latest poll is just crazy and who takes credit for that poll? Can't believe that you can print this baloney and think you have any credibility to back it up.
Turftoe should really be clown, because that's how I see you trying to impress anyone with these polls. You're doing BJ a disservice, you made him a victim of you pushing for your point of view. Let BJ rest in peace, he was respected before you tried to make him greater then he actually was.Last edited by lovefootball; 03-21-2015 at 04:04 PM.

Re: For us young guys: compare Bert Jones to Joe Flacco
As posted above Bert was sacked for a record 12 times in one
game and Joe didn't do as well in the end with the brace on
his knee. Yea he was tuff, but was also limited with what he
could do. He was sreaming and holding his knee in the Cinci
game in the end zone after he was hit, just like Bert when his
shoulder was hit. We just missed the POs even with Joe getting
injured.
Again, Bert didn't have 4 HOF guys on his defense saving games. Ravens went
to the SB and other POs with no QBs at all unless you call Dilfer and Wright
QBs and with an old man QB who ran out of gas before the POs in 06.
Bert's Ds gave up 77 pts in 2 POs games. Nobody would have won those.
Keep laughing at the eye ball test because the guys that never saw BERt
just don't know - period.Last edited by AirFlacco; 03-21-2015 at 06:36 PM.

Re: For us young guys: compare Bert Jones to Joe Flacco
Here's Jones total postseason stats courtesy of Pro Football Reference: 29 of 62, 46.8 completion percentage, 1 Touchdown, 2 Interceptions, 399 yards. His lone playoff TD came in 1976, but so did both interceptions. His highest completion percentage in a playoff game was 54.5. Face the facts, your boy was Andy Dalton-esque in the playoffs. His defense didn't do all of the screwing up for him.

Re: For us young guys: compare Bert Jones to Joe Flacco
Could we possibly change this to comparing Marty Domres to Tony Banks?

Re: For us young guys: compare Bert Jones to Joe Flacco
SOMEBODY IS SHOUTING FOR NO REASON!!!
*ahem*
Guess who else isn't on your list?
Matt Ryan, Matthew Stafford, Cam Newton, Russell Wilson & Andrew Luck.
Because like Joe all of these QBs have less than 10 years in the league or were under 30 last season (whichever one is the cutoff marker they went with)
The most recent QBs included on that list are Tony Romo who entered the league in 2004 & Aaron Rodgers who was drafted in 2005. So clearly, newer, younger QBs like Joe are ineligible for your list at this time.
