Is it worth trading up for Amari Cooper in this year's draft?

Took a look at how he fits into the Ravens offense and what it would cost to get him.

It's not worth the Ravens going without first rounders for the next 2-3 years.

Well given we'd have to jump to number 3 because him going to Oakland seems like a very real possibility (Poor Amari) I don't even know what that would cost. For fun, lets use the WalterFootball Trade Value Chart.

    Pick #3: 2,200

    Pick #26: 700

That leaves us with a 1500 point gap. Given that we usually pick in the 20's other teams will factor that in. It would probably take three years worth of 1st's to even have a shot. Plus they'd probably ask for like a 3rd this year as well.

So as HR said: No. Just no.

It wouldn't cost that much... At most, it would cost a 2nd, 3rd and 4th pick for this year.

Julio Jones is a great player but the trade up to get him handcuffed the Falcons in filling in the rest of their roster with competent starters. No way we trade up for Cooper.

Amari Cooper isn't the only capable receiver in the draft. The Ravens need players (plural), not one player.

Baltimore more times than not make good selections in the first round. While it's tempting, since we don't know what it's like to get a top shelf WR draft pick, the Ravens have done OK. Our philosophy has worked. Let's stay with what we know works.

Nah...... like was already said the picks wed have to give up are just too valuable. Besides Oz traded up to get (as it turned out) TT in 2000 and....well you know. I really doubt Oz risks getting burned again.
They hate us..... but they want to BE us. (.... or at least poach all our players/coaches/FO people!) :respect

I'd love to have Cooper but not at that price and I agree that's what it would take.

When do they feel he'll be selected? 15th, 16th...? Sooner?
