ill wait until his combine/pro day...

when he runs a 4.3 and jumps 42" at 6'-6" 230lbs hell be back in 1st round discussions.

If this was any lesser athlete id probably agree theres a decent chance he falls out, but the guy is phenomenal, top 5 type guy. somebody will pull the trigger in the mid rounds for sure.

Whoever drafts him would be taking a massive risk from a PR perspective among other things.

Get caught underage drinking while in college? Ok.

Fail a drug test while in college because you like to smoke a little green every now and then? Ok.

Get accused of taking money or other "gifts" while in college? Ok.

Those are things everyone can deal with.

Kick in a girl's door, drag her out of the room, and then push her down some steps? No thanks. Not in today's NFL.

You all can thank Ray Rice for that shit. The Ravens won't be going near any guy who has possible DV issues.

As a matter of fact, most teams won't. Case and point: Ray McDonald. Dude is a 290-300lb 5-technique specialist who was an integral part of the Niner's defense. They cut him and last I checked he was still unsigned and not one team inquired about his services.

The writing is on the wall. No team wants to deal with the fallout of having a guy on their team that even comes close to rape, assault, sexual assault, or domestic violence. That's just a reality.

I don't care if DGB does run a 4.3 at 6'6" 230lbs. There is a VERY strong likelihood that he never plays a down in the NFL.

    Dorial Green-Beckham

So this kid is coming out in this upcoming Draft and is EXACTLY what we need in a WR for Joe but he's exactly what we DON'T given his history with assault. The question is, do the Ravens take a shot with this kid with their 32nd pick and "roll with the punches" or does this kids history preclude them from taking a chance?

The DV probably keeps him off our board

Until Ray Rice signs next year... and McDonald signs next year...

McDonald wasnt even cut for his DV, he was cut for another incident of sexual assault. So apparently beating is ok as long as youre not raping with the 49ers.

I expect both back in the NFL (pending McDonald not being found guilty) because teams care more about winning than the name on the back of the jersey. Fans have a habit of forgetting bad shit players did as long as they contributing to Ws on the field. Pacmans, Henry's, Tank Johnsons, Stallworths, etc of the world tell me this. theres a long long history of guys that have talent and are knuckleheads and PR nightmares that remain in the league... until they dont have the ability anymore (Haynesworth).

Also you allude to "some teams" and we all know it only takes one. I think at least 1/3 of the league will have him off their board. another 1/3 a low round/priority FA grade, but id expect 1/3 will not be able to turn down his ability and physical attributes and take him earlier.

in no way am I saying the Ravens would be one of those teams. I dont think theyd even take him as an UDFA if he did fall that far.

    Re: Dorial Green-Beckham

Lol Wicked and Bc already jumped on me for talking about this guy. Bottom line, the Ravens wont be drafting him because were on PR eggshells because of Rice's dumbass. But DGB is a legit 1st round talent and honestly watch his pro day and combine. Hell be better than Cooper and would be a top 10 pick if he wasnt the prototypical "thug". Grew up in halfway houses, dragged and tossed a chick down a flight of stairs. Im surprised he doesn't have a couple drug charges and gun possession. BUT the guy can flat out ball. He goes up and fights for the ball, exact opposite of Torrey. He wants to catch it, he doesn't want a flag.

Because of his issues he's another Burfict. He's gonna go undrafted and be the best WR in the draft, just like Burfict. I really really hope he doesn't come into our division. But like Burfict i really wish we get this guy. So what if the media hates us. So what if idiots talk about our team as a bunch of women beaters or we. You win fucking games and they shut up. Theyll find someone else to troll.

Its a business, and just like why Ngata and Webb are on notice is why we also wont get this kid. Because its a business. Look at it from winning football games and alot of things change. Unfortunately they dont see it this way.
