Some of the stuff in there makes me think that he'll be back again.

Re: Kubiak responds to coaching interest
I found it to be a very neutral statement. Calculated, even.
Maybe he just isn't interested in the teams with openings.

Re: Kubiak responds to coaching interest
Exactly.
At the very least he left the back door open. He didn't say no way Jose - just not now.
He's too busy.
When he came here he said he wasn't going to use the job as a stepping stone to the
next HC position. He just wanted to be the best o-coord in the game.
This statement today isn't as strong as that.
BTW, I thought teams couldn't interview coaches that were in the playoffs? It used to be that way
anyway. I remember when MIke NOlan was here as d-coord and was pissed for missing, I think the Atlanta
job, because they couldn't interview him while in the POs so they got someone else. He later got the SF
job.Last edited by AirFlacco; 01-03-2015 at 02:15 AM.

Re: Kubiak responds to coaching interest
That's how it used to be ........ a few decades ago. :grbac:
Here's another news story from the same era, which you may have also missed:
titanic-newspaper-article-3.jpgIn a 2003 BBC poll that asked Brits to name the "Greatest American Ever", Mr. T came in fourth, behind ML King (3rd), Abe Lincoln (2nd) and Homer Simpson (1st).

I didn't miss any prayers to God when you were in the hospital for 90 days when
an Admin asked us to pray for you. Looks like God answered our prayers as most of the board prayed for you. You seem fine now but we thought we lost a super mod.
I knew I shouldn't have asked a question on this, how does Tony put it, oh yea
the friendly forum but plenty of coaches still don't get HC jobs because of the playoffs.
They still have a job to do. Even Tags said
it's tough because the system penalizes those who have done well but there's
nothing that can be done because of the rules being in place for decades.
Here's a recent such case that T missed due to short term dementia.
Bevell has gotten interest for head coaching jobs before, and might have had a job by now if not for Seattle’s postseason success.
NOW Go to bed T and take all those meds before you do or Mrs T will take your
computer away from you again like the last time she didn't let you on
message boards for 3 years. ;)Last edited by AirFlacco; 01-04-2015 at 02:16 AM.

Re: Kubiak responds to coaching interest
Seems as though Trap is starting the new year in the same way he ended the previous one -- thin skinned as ever.
It was a joke, Trap. Lighten up.

Re: Kubiak responds to coaching interest
Kubiak is playing it smart. He knows that the chances of him getting a HC job are slim and he doesn't want to screw up what he has.
The way the system works is that anyone who's season is over will interview either last week or this one coming up. Coaches from the 4 bye week teams interviewed last week during that bye. Coaches from the 4 losing teams this weekend will be able to interview this upcoming week. Then it comes down to how far you get into the playoffs. If you are coach of a team that plays wild card weekend and makes the Super Bowl you have a long wait.

Re: Kubiak responds to coaching interest
LOL - I get zapped so I'm thin skinned with a return? Nah, I had my bullet proof vest
on.
Are you back being a mod again?
Who me? Thin skinned? I would have left the board years ago from all your
insults and cartoons alone not to mention someone else.
BTW, you said you had me on ignore.
Do does this mean we're friends again.
Anyway, now that we're friends again. how's the baby doing?
Anyway, As an Admin always said, it's just family stuff between Teddy and me. Even
another Admin got on him about his meds after the elevator jokes.
Just two old guys having some fun in the middle of the night. One on meds, one
not.
Oh yea, did you treat everyone at the tailgate again. The last time you paid for
about 70 Ravens fans. They tried to pay you but you wouldn't accept any money.
I heard about it from someone in Bel Air and even gave you a shout on it on here.
I was lightened up then and being nice. The only guy who mentioned it even after all of your insults and cartoons.Last edited by AirFlacco; 01-03-2015 at 10:37 AM.
