    Raves Practice Squad Moves

The Ravens have replaced one tight end with another on their practice squad, signing Allen Reisner and cutting Emmanuel Ogbuehi, per Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun (via Twitter). Reisner had been on the open market since being dropped from the Patriots’ practice squad back in September.

Start calling it The Harbaugh Shuffle. Wonder what the record is for players being replaced on practice squad?

probably saw enough of him not getting better to try out somebody else. Id say it was as much ozzie as it was Harbs.

Kubiak's preference for 2 (or more) TE's in his offense and Pitta's injury have placed the team in a precarious situation if Daniels or Gillmore are injured. Yes, Juice can be used more as an H or flexed if necessary but we need a third TE who has some level of NFL experience to be contribute if needed. i"ll bet that the Ravens never dreamed they would lose both Ryan Taylor and Supernaw off our PS. Taylor would have been a perfect 3rd TE.

Regarding Supernaw you may be right, but Taylor was not on the PS, he was on the main roster, although inactive for a few games. Then he was cut to make room for the re-signing of Supernaw.

My error, you are correct. I dont think Taylor was eligible for PS because of his NFL service time. When Daniels was hurt for the Cincy game, we needed Supernaw active because Taylor likely was too new to contribute on the field. We then ended up losing both of them. Let's hope Daniels and Gillmore stay healthy.

Both Reisner and Reuland both have NFL experience, so I'm sure it's more beneficial to have 1 of those guys around in case of injury. It's probably easier to slot a guy that has actually played before in on a whim.

And getting Reisner to the PS allows him to begin learning the Offense in case of need.
My guess is in line with JAB1985, they had seen enough of Ogbuehi to know he wasn't going to be much use this year (if ever) and replaced him with better starting out of the gate.

Wonder if they ever considered Michael Flacco

on the street. we have juice and Gilmore to fill that blocking role IMO and Gilmore is more of a receiving threat
