Re: Ravens resign Derek Cox
Good, I think he'll be a good #4 CB. Who did we cut for his spot though?

I like Asa but I'd prefer to see DC outside with Jimmy as 2 big corners with Webbie inside. I think DC could be as good for us as Cary Williams was. Cary wasn't great but he made some plays and was the #1 CB on a SB winning defense.

Re: Ravens resign Derek Cox
I'm going to guess Trawick or Miles for the cut.

Looks like they dodged a bullet, I wonder what AFC South was interested.

Re: Ravens resign Derek Cox
If they didn't lighten the roster by dealing a back-end WR for a draft pick, then one would assume odd man out is one of the back-end ST-safeties...who will be back as soon as said WR gets dealt.

Re: Ravens resign Derek Cox
Why did the Ravens cut him in the first place?

Re: Ravens resign Derek Cox
The ONLY thing that I can come up with is that the Ravens didn't want to give Cinci the opportunity of picking up a specific player (I haven't the foggiest idea who) off the practice squad before the 1st game. Aren't teams precluded from cherry picking the practice squad players SIX day before a head to head regular season game. Now if you asked me who this could be I couldn't tell you unless its going to be the player cut to accommodate Cox.
I have to admit that this doesn't make too much sense to me - but then again cutting Cox in the first place is a big head scratcher.
