Re: Why all the hate...??
when the ENTIRE board disagrees with you it's safe to say that your opinion, though accepted, is probably wrong.
A few posters I believe have talked some sense into others with their explanations (Wicked gave a very good review of the draft)
Everyone calm the fuck down and lets see what happens. If you look at yoru depth chart we are sitting pretty good.
We have 2 holes: RT and a 3rd CB.
RT can be solved because of KO's versatility.
A 3rd CB is also not the end of the world (though I Agree it is basically a starting position now a days). I really liked the look of Asa last year during the preseason.
I just find it comical that those that are bitching about how bad the draft was for ignoring the offence early, even though all we're really missing is a RT! We did not need a WR to come in and produce immediately with Smith, Smith, Marlon (who I think people keep forgetting about - looked damn good for a rookie) and Jacoby. PLUS we have Pitta and Daniels!"Cause if you ain’t pissed off for greatness, that just means you’re okay with being mediocre, and ain’t no man in here okay with just basic.”

Re: Why all the hate...??
Well we got a 1st round pick with more holes in him than Bonnie and Clyde and he cant even walk into the gym much less field with those liagaments in his knees. He can't push weight much less a 350 pound lineman but who cares. He could join the other Bama guys as busts and could be too fragil for a pro defense as banged up as he is already.
We got a 2d rd pick who might join Ray Rice on the suspension so guys who are saying rookies don't contribute right away are right and there's no backup after Pierce except for the guy from a whittle bity school but we got my fav, the Davey Crockett guy, King of the Wild frontier.
Kubes says thanks for the bone Oz who says welcome to Baltimore chump.Last edited by AirFlacco; 05-12-2014 at 05:29 PM.

Re: Why all the hate...??
Oh, the hate.
Some of you guys just can't see what we got. We got a guy who couldn't lift at the combines and still can't lift, same as Brown last year who was injured during the combines and again during the season.
Our second pick failed the drug test and could be suspended along with Rice who will be too. That just leaves Pierce with any experience and he's not an every down back. Oz threw Kubes a bone when he asked for a TE that could block.
Can't you see? Ozzie sure does as you can tell by your own vid above. :)Last edited by AirFlacco; 05-12-2014 at 05:39 PM.

Re: Why all the hate...??
No doubt about that.
I'm thinking they felt that getting Pitta, KO, Monroe, Zuttah, Jacoby, and Steve Smith will make them better than the 29th ranked offense that they were last year.
Additionally, I whole heartedly believe that our offensive coaching staff is FINALLY where it should be.

Re: Why all the hate...??
Face it. Defense isn't sexy.
Offense is Madden. Offense is flashy. Offense is instant gratification. Offense fits today's "give it to me now" society.
That's why people are upset. If those upset posters would just look at the team being built, and realize that the draft just is one piece of the puzzle (so, no, teams aren't built through the draft alone), they might see that the Ravens are doing a really good job building a team. As for those who think the team needs to have a better offense, maybe they should check out the top ten offensive teams last season. Only 60% of them made the playoffs. If you want to root for a top ten offensive team, there is always the Washington Redskins - they had the 9th ranked offense in the league last year. How'd that work out for them?
It takes more than an XBox to run a franchise.

Why all the hate...??
One cannot dismiss how impacted the offense was without Pitta and KO for much of the year. Couple that with injuries to Rice, Pierce, and Jacoby and a mid-season trade for a new starting LT and you have a fairly substantial reason for the poor offensive production.
Imagine how bad things would have been had Marlon not stepped up?
