OT - Anyone watching the Olympics - USA - 5 medals
This has been a great olympics with the snow boarding, skiing and
ice skating even though we lag behind with 5 medals at this point.
US women did well and were first in ice skaing until 2 Russian chicks
knocked them out. They were really good and looked liked 15 yr old
kids.
The US snow boarders are great.
Russia is behind us in medals as with Canada in first at this point.

Yeah I've been enjoying the different events as well, some of them I didn't even know existed.
Overall the Netherlands have had some success (on ice) so far, with 7 medals (3 gold), even leading all countries until Canada overtook us with some moguls medals.

Yea, snow boarding is a fairly new event. Where do these kids go to
learn that stuff? Phenominal.
I was a good skier as a young adult and love the down hill racing but they didn't have snow boarding back then. My nephew is really good at it and does that instead of skiing. I was
just talking to a young chick Sat night at the water hole who said she learned at round
top where I used to ski.

Re: OT - Anyone watching the Olympics - USA - 5 medals
Remember when they beat the Russians. They beat our basketball team for the first time
and we beat their hockey team for the first time. We should have never lost that basketball
game with all those ACC guys from Terps and NC. The game ended and the clock guy who
was Russian added 3 seconds to the clock as the game ended. It was enough time for one
last shot and the win.
But we got em in hockey.

That's right, I forgot.
Here's the latest on the medals count for day 3. USA still with 5.
I didn't know this either. Very interesting. Rankings go by weight????

But golds and silvers weigh more, which is why Canada is No. 1 in Sochi2014.com's most current rankings, followed by Norway, the Netherlands, USA and Germany in descending order.
