Re: Good news for Ravens Fans - Dierdorf to Retire!
Collinsworth should follow him out the door.
Dierdorf and Collinsworth sound like they are rubbing one out in the booth when they do Steelers games. I think it was just last season where Dierdorf was fawning over Big Ben and called him "Y.A. Tittle". As if anyone under the age of 60 had a clue what he was talking about.

I guess I am in the minority, I like Dierdorf...his focus on line play was a different perspective. To each their own.

Praise be to God! I am sure that Dierdork is a very nice person but a horrible announcer. He is the best at stating the blatantly obvious that I have ever seen or heard and provides no depth or insight into his comments.

Re: Good news for Ravens Fans - Dierdorf to Retire!
My memory of Dier-Dork was the game where he insisted that a tipped ball only negated Defensive Pass Interference, not Offensive. A flag had been thrown on Boldin for man-handling a defender after the ball was batted into the air. Of course, when they picked up the flag and mentioned that it had been tipped and so there was no interference, I think that Gum-ball went on to a CBS promo.
Put me in the "Glad he is going" column.Captain Offense

Re: Good news for Ravens Fans - Dierdorf to Retire!
I guess I'll be in the minority here. I liked Dierdorf and thought he was always complementary towards the Ravens.
