Truely a sad story. Cincy Cat, this was one of your guys last season. How quickly ones life can be taken in an instant.

His story was "inspiring" up until an innocent man, 64 year-old Zeng Liu, died because Howard thought it would be fun to drive 110 MPH.

The article didn't actually come out and say Howard was the BMW driver doing 100-110 mph but it seems that way since it does say the other fatality was in the Honda. Shame he died so young and a shame he took another life with him.

There are a lot of facts still unknown about this incident. Totally out of character from the guy I knew. Truly sad and Howard was always a class act here. R.I.P. Thomas.

For all we know, he could've had some kind of undiagnosed condition and was having a related episode causing him to not have control of his vehicle. Or, he could have been acting careless. Details will come out I'm sure.

Maybe the accelerator stuck. I've heard of some BMW models having that issue .
