Re: Zone Blocking Scheme - What's going on?
Mother, mother
There's too many of you missing
Brother, brother, brother
There's far too many of you holding
You know we've got to find a way
To bring some blockin' here today - Ya
Father, father
We don't need to replace
You see, new players is not the answer
For only schemes can conquer late
You know we've got to find a way
To bring some blockin' here today
Porous lines and zoned out signs
Don't punish me with brutality
Block for me, so you can see
Oh, what's running on
What's running on
Ya, what's running on
Ah, what's running on
Chris Chester never really prospered here because he was the prototypical ZBS guard. He has done well in DC, IMO we are back to forcing square players into round holes. ZBS seems to rely on movement getting angles... what we do very well is bulldoze road grade which ZBS cripplesLast edited by Rxdoxx; 09-25-2013 at 12:41 PM. Reason: Spelling Chester

Re: Zone Blocking Scheme - What's going on?
I don't understand why people think zone blocking is new to the offense this year. Every team in the league runs some form of zone blocking at some point.
Just because there is zone in the playbook doesn't mean they exclusively run zone. They ran both zone and man blocking schemes last year.
