Re: Day 3 BPA's by position

Anybody know anything about Juszczyk as a inline blocker, i know he has the lead blocking and receiving appeal but if he can block inline he could fit multiple roles

Although Walsh's system of offense can compensate for lack of talent; however, defense is a different story. According to Walsh, talent on defense was essential and could not be compensated for. What did Walsh do in 1981? He acquired physical and talented players on defense.

If the Ravens take another DB (and I think they will) it wouldn't surprise me if it was Sanders Commings (6'0", 215lb, 4.41) out of Georgia, simply because he is one of those versatile 'tweener-types - a decent corner who probably is better suited to play safety. My dark horse at CB is Micah Hyde (Illinois). I really like his tape for a late round pick.

For a sortable list, go to this page:

    http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/drafttracker

Part way down the page, under the "On The Clock" section with the big team logos (in draft order), there is a "Prospects" tab. click on it and you can see every player yet to be taken.

FWIW, and it ain't much, Walter football has their two day 3 mocks out, 4th and 5th rounds only.

Walter gives us: 4th round: Barrett Jones, and Chris Harper, and 5th round Andre Ellington who he admits is more because he didn't think Ellington would slide any more.

Charlie Campbell gives us: 4th round: Chris Harper and Jordan Poyer, 5th round: Joe Kruger

Fanspeak.com/some dude named Steve gives us: 4th round Jordan Mills, and BW Webb, 5th round: Nico Johnson

Fanspeak.com/some dude named Willy gives us: 4th round Aaron Mellette and Malliciah Goodman, 5th round: Keith Pough AND he gives us a 6th round: WR Jasper Collins and S Sanders Commings

I really, really don't want Chris Harper.

On NFL .com the fans have graded their draft a "C" -- insane! They might have gotten Pugh later, they might not. I love all three players they've taken. I like our guys so far, but I'd trade drafts with NYG right now in a second.
Don't think Greg Reid is anything more than a return specialist. He's not remotely close to the Honey Badger in defensive instincts or skill.

I do like your Lattimore idea as a late round flyer. We'd be able to ease him him and try to build up his health at a safe pace. Could be a nice trade chip down the road, but that strategy doesn't really fit Ozzie's MO.

I guess I just have a blind-spot or the tape out there is just bad tape. I really can't see how Harper's game translates to the NFL.
I mean KSU had a mickey-mouse offense and a mickey-mouse QB, but still, there should be flashes, right?

I read about his excellent routes, but I don't see "excellent" on film. I see "okay" and "serviceable".
Same thing with his hands. I've seen a few nice grabs, but nothing jaw-dropping.
He's strong and heavy, but I don't see him being all that physical on the field.
I guess not having much film on him is screwing me up.

I like him too. His running ability and big play potential is worth a shot at some point.
