Re: The War on Terror - What Are We Doing Here?

Just curious but how is anyone seeing for certain a gun from this image?

That's a bit unfair to use one image. He could be on top of a weapon and you'd never see it on FLIR.

That helicopter flew over the scene for a long time, taking a long stream of video. I'd like to see the whole video, not just a select shot.

Aroun the 2:45 mark on is where you can start to see what looks like a gun.

I don't think that's the whole video, just the moments before the raid and the raid itself.

Can't believe they used three flash bangs on that kid. His eardrums will never be the same.

Thanks for the video, I didnt see that before, just the images.

I still dont see what was being mistaken for a gun. The dark shadow that seems to be going back and forth in front of him? Thats ripples in the cover to the boat blowing in the wind. The guy himself is barely moving from what i can tell.

Don't shoot the messenger (no pun intended). I just remember seeing the news and saw what looked like a gun, this was the only video I could find.

I'm not really sure what down there, is it even confirmed he was shot or shot at there?

Yeah, I don't really see it in this video, but I am sure there is more out there, somewhere.

If the bombs had gone off in Boise or Amarillo, betcha there would not have been nearly the over-reaction we saw. Slimy politicians.
In a 2003 BBC poll that asked Brits to name the "Greatest American Ever", Mr. T came in fourth, behind ML King (3rd), Abe Lincoln (2nd) and Homer Simpson (1st).
