I don't think Ozzie can make an offer of enough money so that the Giants would be unable to match it.

I think the Giants have less cap room than us, not too sure though.

It's more of a case that Ozzie wont give up high draft picks AND money to get a player, no matter how good he is.

Cruz would be sick and he would be better than any other receiver they could get in the draft. The guy is 26 years old IIRC.

Cruz, Torrey, and Jacoby is one speedy receiver unit.

I like it. I dont think itll happen, but i like it. I think Amendola would be a nice Slot WR for a lot less. Still quick, obviously not as straight line fast but would work well here. I still dont think we even bring in a FA WR unless its off the scrap heap.

Amendola may be out of football in two years unless he learns how to slip collisions. I wouldn't pay him a dime.

    How much for Cruz?
Or maybe the better question is, how much cap space does NYG have?

    Cruz is a pipe dream.
Although Walsh's system of offense can compensate for lack of talent; however, defense is a different story. According to Walsh, talent on defense was essential and could not be compensated for. What did Walsh do in 1981? He acquired physical and talented players on defense.

About the same as us...maybe a bit less.

I don't think Cruz is a realistic option. It would just be kind of funny to poach him from the Giants.

Cruz is looking for mega bucks though and the Ravens are going to have to pay Torrey at some point in the next two years as well. There won't be cap room for Cruz.

The Ravens really need to get Tandon Doss/Streeter/Thompson/LaQuan/David Reed to be good enough to be a starter because Torrey is going to be expensive and the Ravens aren't going to be able to afford multiple high-priced receivers.

It is absolutely a pipe dream.

I wasn't being serious at all about it.

right player, right price. Hes a great WR when healthy, but the price has to be right due to his history. He broke his collarbone on a freak play (laying out and making a great catch btw), so i dont hold that against him. Other than that he had a heel issue. I think his "injury history" is a little blown out of proportion.

I don't think the need is really for a player in the slot. I think it's for a player on the outside.
