Re: What do you think the ring will look like?
Good point. That's why it's under the BR logo supporting it, just like he supported and inspired his fellow players.
You're right though. It would be seen as 52 being bigger than the team instead of just remembering his leadership and the role his announced retirement had in inspiring this team to achieve the ultimate goal.Twenty years of Cheers.

Re: What do you think the ring will look like?
All I know is, it's awesome that we even have this thread. CincyCat's post hit home on how fortunate we are as fans. I can't wait to see the guys get their rings next year, I wasn't able to afford to start going to games until the '03 season and missed it the first time around.

Re: What do you think the ring will look like?
I hope it's simple, classy, streamlined. Our bird logo doesn't translate smoothly. A nice big "B" or our shield logo would look much better. Also, any time they try to put the Lombardi on the ring, it looks crappy.

Re: What do you think the ring will look like?
basically, all that news story says is we're going white gold over yellow gold. The FB picture making the rounds is fake then, because Bisciotti hasn't designed it yet.

That is the patriots second ring with the ravens bird from 2000 photo shopped. I think the bird or the B or the shield would look nice in front of two large stones. For everyone asking to put 52 or lewis on the ring... That honor is reserved for the MVP.

Bullshit...somebody had a lot of photoshop time on thier hands.
I posted a link to that very ring at the top of this thread...that is the Patriots second Super Bowl ring (XXXVIII) with the Patriot logo photoshopped out and the Ravens logo photoshopped in.
Here is the Patriots actual ring...
Although Walsh's system of offense can compensate for lack of talent; however, defense is a different story. According to Walsh, talent on defense was essential and could not be compensated for. What did Walsh do in 1981? He acquired physical and talented players on defense.
