    Russell Street community mock draft

Basically pick a team, and pick the player you'd pick if you were the GM.

    Rules:

    1. You must pick a player within a 12 hour window, if you exceed that time, the following member with the pick will be entitled to pick the player for you.

    2. No trades of any kind, it just makes things complicated and unrealistic.

    3. You may pick up to three different teams, depending on how many people want to participate, in an ideal world, we'll have 32 contributors.

    4. Compensatory picks aren't officially set yet, so I haven't added them into this.

    5. You don't need to be a draft expert of any kind, if you need any help picking players etc, use Walter football (http://walterfootball.com/draft2008P.php), just as an example, they have a decent draft database over there.

    Draft order:

    (Following rounds to follow)

I'm in and call dibs on BALTIMORE RAVENS if we're assigning teams to posters.
My motto was always to keep swinging. Whether I was in a slump or feeling badly or having trouble off the field, the only thing to do was keep swinging. -Hank Aaron

    I'm down.

Problem is, you have to be very clear about how long people have to make a pick, etc. I'd also recommend no trades (complicates things).

yeah no trades at all, and I think at the most, they get 12 hours to make each pick.

I'm for it as long as we stick to the no trade rule. Trades and mock drafts don't ever work.

I'd also like to mention that members will be able to pick more than one team for obvious reasons.

I'd love to see this! I'm not much of a draftnik, but if you don't get enough volunteers I can take a team and do some research to make sure I make reasonable picks for them.

You don't have to be a draftnik at all, join in and pick a team. There are a number of draft analysts websites you can look for if you really want to get into the whole arm chair scouting game.

I'll take the Steelers with the caveat that I can pick for a few other teams.

Unless one of our resident Steeler-Nation-Members wants to represent them?
