"If Ben were healthy..."
Was looking at some of the Steelers Boards and "If Ben were healthy..." appears to be the rationalization of the week. The problem is Ben is always getting injured because his O-line is bad and when he scrambles he ends up taking a lot of hits. If his style of play is such that he will miss 2 or 3 games every year or finish up the season at 70%, then the Steelers need to rethink how they use him or his career could end sooner rather than later. It may be true that a healthy Ben Roethlisberger is better than a healthy Joe Flacco, but it appears Joe Flacco healthy for 16 games is better than Ben Roethlisberger healthy for 9.

And if Webby were healthy, or Ray or Suggs/Haloti not being banged up or Ed not having Ed problems......

And if ifs and buts were candy and nuts, we'd all have a Merry Christmas. First time I heard that was by Don Meredith. Yep, I'm that old.

Re: "If Ben were healthy..."
And the funny thing is he's taking ALOT less hits this year than in years past.

Re: "If Ben were healthy..."
he doesn't miss that much time due to injuries... the "if ben wasn't injured" cant be any worse than the "if cam wasn't joe's oc" excuse that gets thrown around here...

Re: "If Ben were healthy..."
Back in the off-season I got really curious about why they booted Arians for Haley, and in all the talking head analysis I read, that seemed to be at least part of the justification. They wanted the offense to move to a more quick-pass offense, and have Ben hold onto the ball less. Of course, during crunch times in games, Ben reverted back to stuff from the past.
