Re: Time to bench Joseph Vincent Flacco
When Flacco was drafted, they told him, "We have a great defense, we have a great running game, all we want you you to do is hand off the ball and not fumble the snap. They never fully invested in his weapons and held onto Cam for too long. Then, the guy won a SB and got the David Carr treatment. They again neglected the offense choosing to rummage at the bottom of the trash heap for offensive talent. From the beginning the FO has mismanaged his career; the coaching has been terrible, and the weapons/OL even worse.
Now, we're seeing a guy that is completely unsalvageable. Flacco will never again go to the playoffs wearing a Ravens uniform. He is bad. End of. He is done. Best thing to do is to just fire Harbs and friends and then move on from Flacco when the cap ramifications are not crippling. Let him go to a team that will actually build around him and build an offense based on his strengths. It's a Reynolds wrap.
See y'all in '18.

And he was also the No 1 overall pick. That is a really bizarre argument there

Perfectly stated. Wasn’t his fault but he became a casualty due to the neglect.

If it's me I hire 33 year old Jim Bob Cooter. Jim Bob goes to the Lions after Megatron retires. Stafford ends up playing even better. Coincidence? Nope. We need a young guy energetic guy like JBC with a fresh approach. After 2019 when Flacco is moveable you then make a decision on him. For the next 2 seasons after this one you deal with the shitty deal that was made.
They can move on after next season. They almost certainly will if things dont change right away.

I thought you guys knew football. So at 2-2, who plays QB?

It's the only play available with that contract.

With that line and those "offensive weapons" does it really matter?

They can for coach and GM but not Flacco. He's the 1 guy with total job security.

That's fine but they better not give the new guy the same treatment that they gave Flacco. They better build around him and create an offense that is geared to his strengths.

Kaepernick. He's a veteran QB that I can see being an upgrade. Might take a week or two to get him accustomed but should be fine after that.
