Re: How y'all feel about Ronnie Stanley?
I still think Stanley is a slightly above average LT. Not an all-pro, but maybe a guy who'll make a pro-bowl or two in his career. That's okay, it's just that picking at #6, you'd hope to get more than that. Either a perennial all-pro LT, OR draft a playmaker who gets his hands on the football.

I think a little more highly of Stanley than you do, but I understand your opinion of him. One problem the Ravens had in that 2016 draft was that Laremy Tunsil, who was at one time thought of head-and-shoulders above the rest OT-wise, dropped like a stone. If he was as advertised, then we'd all be happy with what was perceived a perennial pro-bowler. That said, I am satisfied with Stanley thus far... Bc
Re: How y'all feel about Ronnie Stanley?
Still only 23 yrs old. He's not yet the player he's going to be.
He's doing fine on his development curve. I'm not worried about him. He likely won't turn out to be Jonathan Ogden; but that's not a fair standard. He seems to be on a "pace" to be a top-5 LT for 7-10 years, maybe top-3. That's good enough for me. Cornerstone player.
Would suck if we drafted a left-handed QB to succeed Joe, though.
Re: How y'all feel about Ronnie Stanley?
Stanley is alright. I think he still needs to fine tune a bit, but given the OT busts in the years before Stanley the fact that he's a top 10 LT with top 5 potential is a win for us.
I think he needs to add some consistency and his durability worries me a little bit. However, he's been good and worthy of that draft pick.

Good news is he's in year 2, which means there's plenty of room to grow (as most LT's do).

Next time we see a thread pop up that says "Would you rather win a game in the final weeks of a lost season or lose and get better draft position" just point to 2015. We beat the Steelers in week 16 to improve to 5 wins. Steelers still end up making the playoffs and advancing to the divisional round so it had no impact on their season. If we lost that game we would have been picking #3 since the Cowboys and Chargers each had tougher SOS that year. We would have had our pick between Bosa, Elliot, or Ramsey who are all definitely a notch above Stanley on talent level for their respective positions. I'm not advocating players tanking a game, but as a fan I see much more to gain from a loss than a win in those situations.

It's a tough one. That year there weren't many busts in the top 10. That's not the nrom though.
If you go back through recent drafts there's always a few busts in the top 10.
I personally don't see the evidence that suggests sucking for a higher draft pick guarantees you a good player. 2015 would have been a damn hard call for us if we had #3.
