That's how these protests usually end up for everyone else.
Well, this is something that I touched on in another thread. Yes, this is exactly how these things end today. However, that doesn't make it right and protests are the large reason why things of this ilk eventually come to pass. Once upon a time, workers got the can for trying to unionize. Got the can and/or received threats for supporting union causes such as the two day weekend and healthcare. During the Mid-1900s, it would have been said by much of the country that a black man would have been foolish to get involved with polarizing protests for civil and social justice, and jeopardize his rare good paying job.
So, while that's the current reality, it isn't necessarily a good reality or the right reality (Not saying you said that). History has shown that we could make similar claims about social issues over America's history. Not just pertaining to minorities, but to women and lower class White America. Even European Immigrants.

Keapernick would call MLK a uncle tom if he was alive today.

There is a time and place for protest. If you protest at work expect there to be consequences from your employer. That's what Google memo guy just found out
Re: The Politics Surrounding Collin Kaepernick
So we are comparing a memo some idiot wrote a google to innocent black folk getting killed in the street. Damn y'all set the bar so fuckun low. It's jehovah witnesses that I went to school with who did not participate in patriotic activities and no one batted an eye. It's disingenuous and phony as fuch to compare the two. Privilege will be the demise of this country.

Castro had concentration camps for homosexuals. Projecting strength to power does not excuse his atrocities. He is an unfit symbol for the oppressed.

That's a damn lie. He did not have concentration camps for homosexuals, he quarantined them so the entire population wasn't compromised.

Homosexuals compromise a population?

This isn't school. It's your job. If you protest while at work expect consequences. It's that simple. It's not what it's about. It's the doing it that employers don't like.

Again, many would have said that exact thing in the 50's and 60's.
Re: The Politics Surrounding Collin Kaepernick
Last time I checked it's not his employers who have issue with him. It's the idiotic, privileged 40 percent of the population who don't understand or care why he kneeled. But that's another story.

By that train of thought you don't support anybody who supports the men who laid the foundation for this country. Where do you think the Native Americans went, on vacation?
Re: The Politics Surrounding Collin Kaepernick
Fake news? Did Kaepernick turn down an NFL offer so he could push his agenda? This report says he turned down back-up QB money from at least 1 team. The Kaepernick camp denies this.
