Re: The Loser Mentality That Is Cleveland
LOL @ the Browns. Fitting that Manziel ended up there.
Re: The Loser Mentality That Is Cleveland
Johnny Manziel - QB - Browns
ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the Cowboys could have interest in Johnny Manziel if the quarterback became available this offseason.
Owner Jerry Jones talked about the decision to pass on Manziel while discussing the Cowboys' backup quarterback woes on a radio program this week. Jones clearly wanted to draft Manziel at the time, but he was overruled by the other people in the draft room. If Manziel becomes available for free or somewhere close to it this offseason, it would not be surprising if Jerry made the move. Manziel will backup Austin Davis this week with Josh McCown (broken collarbone) done for the year.

That's been the rumor since Manziel bombed last year. With Jerry it's possible. He talked the same way about Darren McFadden and eventually brought him in.
Re: The Loser Mentality That Is Cleveland
I remember a couple years ago I was worried they might turn things around. They had Rob Chudzinski as HC (and he loved it there) Norv Turner as OC and Ray Horton running the defense.
Good thing Haslam is such a dumbass he blew it up before they could get any momentum.
Re: The Loser Mentality That Is Cleveland
How is it not tampering for Jerruh to talk that way about a player that is under contract?

I don't see how Jerry talking about a past draft can be considered tampering.
Re: The Loser Mentality That Is Cleveland
Talking about wanting a specific player that is under contract currently with another team I thought was supposed to be a no no.

He's not talking about wanting him currently. The reporter is speculating they may want him based off his comments about their desire to draft him back when he was coming out of college.

Re: The Loser Mentality That Is Cleveland
The last thing the Browns would do is file tampering charges against the only team that might actually trade for Manziel. If I was them I would encourage Jerry to be calling Johnny's agent and work out a deal.
Re: The Loser Mentality That Is Cleveland
Speculation....although pretty detailed speculation that has a ring of truth....that the Browns will go all-out for Urban Meyer.

Looks like Haslam may be turning into the AFC North's version of Jerruh/Little Danny...
