Re: 2015 RSR Mock Draft - Picks Thread
With the 10th pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, the St Louis Rams select Kevin White, WR, West Virginia.
Similar to the pick above, I'd like to go OL to protect Foles. However, I dont see the value with the top 2 T's off the board (arguably Flowers or Collins could go here), but I could see some gems in the later rounds to fill in holes on the line.
Enter Kevin White, a perfect combination of size, strength and speed. I think this is the perfect addition to an offence with a new QB. The Rams WR's have shown some flashes, but a true #1 may be what needs ot be inserted to allow guys like Austin, Quick, Bailey and Givens to fit into differnet roles.
I think this is a tremendous fit in St Louis.
Ravens44 and the Vikes are on the clock

Twenty minutes left. Any thoughts on the Vikes pick? Devante Parker? Trae Waynes?

There's a discussion in the discussion thread.
And the Cleveland Browns are getting anxious because they leave work in 40 minutes and would like to pick before they leave to keep people from waiting.

I'm doing this real world style. The Vikings pick time has come and gone, so I'm running up to the podium with my pick.
Jimmy Haslam is yelling in my ear. It’s annoying. His voice is like sandpaper on my brain. Last year we paid $100K for some advanced research to find out who would be the best QB in the draft. Teddy Bridgewater the study said. But this dipshit wanted Johnny Manziel. What a dolt.
This year I’m ignoring this fool. If he fires me for making my picks, so be it. At least I’ll be the guy on the street without a job, but with some cred instead of a schmuck who got fired cause he listened to the boss that told him to steer right into the goddamn iceberg. He wants DeVante Parker. Parker’s a great kid. But no. I’m not fixing the outside before I fix the inside.
So I’m helping out my D-line by upgrading the beef in the middle with Danny Shelton, the DT outta Washington. Now maybe that line won’t be a goddamn sieve.
Shut the fuck up, Jimmy.

Good pick. Which is why it's not happening in real life.
Re: 2015 RSR Mock Draft - Picks Thread
Prior to the Browns taking Danny Shelton (great pick btw...)
The Vikings have selected Shane Ray, DE, Missouri.
Yes, the Vikes have Everson Griffen and they have Anthony Barr and Scott Crichton, but Barr is used a lot like Von Miller. He'll line up as a SAM linebacker and other sets he'll drop his hand and rush the passer as a DE.
Ray is strictly a pass-rusher, which is ok because Griffen had a great year last year and if he turns in another good season he could be out the door getting big bucks next off-season. Having Ray as insurance for Griffen and a likely candidate to compete for the other DE position would be a good idea. Plus, I do think that Ray has top-10 talent.

With the 13th pick in the draft, the New Orleans Saints select Randy Gregory, DE/OLB, Nebraska
After losing Jimmy Graham and Kenny Stills, Devante Parker pairing up with Brandon Cooks was extremely tempting for an organization that can never have enough weapons for Drew Brees.
But having for a team that has really struggled rushing the passer, matching Gregory (an athletic freak who has scouts bringing up comparisons with Jevon Kearse) with Junior Galette and Jordan Cameron was just too tempting to pass up as the Saints continue to invest in fixing their defense...even at the expense of the offense to an extent.

Good pick.
If he could bump his weight up into the 260's, that'd be great for him.

With the 14th pick in the draft, the Miami Dolphins select Bud Dupree, OLB, Kentucky
My 2 top choices Trae Waynes (who fills an immediate need for Miami) and Randy Gregory were off the board. Marcus Peters was a thought but I couldn't get past his dismissal issues. It really came down to DeVante Parker or Bud Dupree - offense or defense. Devante Parker was an obvious choice with Mike Wallace leaving and on average was ranked higher on most "expert" boards, but my gut just felt like Bud Dupree was the safer pick with more upside. Miami was middle of the pack in sacks last year and this helps solidify the front 7 after they added Ndamukong Suh. DEFENSE!!!

With the 15th pick in the 2015 NFL Draft the SF 49ers select Malcolm Brown DT/DE Texas knowing that Justin Smith is about to retire I felt that getting a monster def lineman is the best course at this time. They will be able to replace Justin Smith for years to come with this pick. And knowing that to beat Seattle you must shut downMarshawn Lynch they will need all of the help they can get up front.

That's a good pick. He's an excellent fit as a 0-tech DT.
Re: 2015 RSR Mock Draft - Picks Thread
The Texans come into the 2015 draft with several holes to fill in order to continue their rebuilding process. The most obvious one is QB. Ryan Fitzpatrick was dealt, leaving Houston with Ryan Mallet and Tom Savage under center. I don't see either one becoming that franchise QB every team hopes for. The bad news for Houston is that with Winston and Mariota off the board there are no QB's worth taking at #16. Look for them to address the QB situation in later rounds. CB and WR are also positions Houston will need to address, but not here
The Houston Texans select Ereck Flowers, OT Miami Hurricances
When you have young and inexperienced QB's you need to protect them. Big strong tackles can be a young QB's best friend. Furthermore, adding a road grader to your line will help Houston continue to be a strong rushing team. I firmly believe teams are built in the trenches. Thats why Flowers is my man
