2018 Mock Draft Thread: Not yours, Not mine, Theirs
I used to do this back on BR.com and some liked the idea. Its pretty simple, CBS has a mock, provide the link but put who we selected in your response and what/if any description they wrote about who we selected, BR has a mock...you get the idea. This is just a good index to see everyone being mocked to us.
-Bleacher Report-

Mason Rudolph, QB, Oklahoma State
-24/7 Sports
https://247sports.com/nfl/cleveland-...s-20-113087005
Courtland Sutton, WR, SMU
Sutton is a big target who is known for coming down with 50-50 balls. The Ravens have been a turn style at the position for years and Breshad Perriman has not panned out to this point.
-SB Nation
https://www.sbnation.com/nfl-mock-dr...baker-mayfield
Calvin Ridley, WR, Alabama
This choice speaks much more to the Ravens needing a wide receiver than lead personnel man Ozzie Newsome loving Alabama players. Ridley is the draft’s best wide receiver because of his route running and good hands.
-The Big Lead
http://thebiglead.com/2018/01/01/201...aquon-barkley/
Harold Landry, OLB, Boston College. After 22 TFL and 16.5 sacks as a junior, he was slowed this past year but an ankle injury. Could be the heir apparent to 35-year old Terrell Suggs. The Ravens have drafted five Alabama players since 2010, and there’s a need a WR, so if Calvin Ridley is available, he’ll be in play.
I havent really done any reading up on anyone potential prospects, i just know i would love Bryce Love. But ill just leave those there for now. And yes....i know there will be so many things that change from here on out till the draft....but hey, we need to keep ourselves entertained.

Sutton is a guy I'd want @ #16. In his last three years @ SMU, he had a total of 29 TDs.
We could use a WR who has some "Boldin" in him... Bc

I see his name a lot to us. How is his route running?

SMU's Courtland Sutton 2018 NFL Draft Scouting Report
https://withthefirstpick.com/.../cou...outing-report/
"Nov 21, 2017 - His game also comes with solid route-running skills and experience running a wide variety of routes. This is something that will help ease his transition to the NFL. Sutton is a physical player who will fight for yards after the catch and contribute as a blocker. He plays with a chip on his shoulder."

Re: 2018 Mock Draft Thread: Not yours, Not mine, Theirs
I would rather stick with free agency when it comes to the WR position because of our inability to develop that position.
But if we do go that route, Ridley would be an exciting pick and unlike last season, we may actually have a shot at being the first team to draft a wide receiver in the draft (if not the Bears.)
I think that's what it'll come down to is simply what hot prospect it is that falls to us at 16. Could be a WR or even Joes eventual successor.
But I'm sure Ozzie will draft Roquan Smith instead.. who I'll admit is pretty awesome though.

The only thing we need to know is how is he with adjusting to underthrown deep balls? just kidding. great thread usmc. Is the idea to keep updating the original post so the current mocks are always at the top? would also be cool to keep track of how many times each mock picks a specific player - so we could total them all up and see which players were mocked most often to the Ravens
Re: 2018 Mock Draft Thread: Not yours, Not mine, Theirs
I'm not really excited about Ridley or Sutton.
I'd rather try and sign a guy and draft Kirk or Moore in the second round.

I can see your point, but looking at the Ravens (Ozzie's) MO, it'll be more like (a) sign that 30+ WR who has seen better days (b) when 2nd round WRs are available (I won't go through the list due to it's extreme length) and draft pass rush guys who we turn into something else (c) and I'll add the 3rd round where offensive players are routinely passed over for Dlinemen who don't even play a snap until their 2nd or 3rd years. No, my friend, it's time to get a young/modern offense starting with a highly rated WR. I know we've failed in the past, but if you fall off a bicycle you get up and try again... Bc
Re: 2018 Mock Draft Thread: Not yours, Not mine, Theirs
What's everyone think of Miles Boykin from Notre Dame? I don't follow college that closely, but saw the late TD that won the Citrus Bowl, and he looked like a man among boys. Not sure what kind of speed, route running, or hands that he has, but he's a Junior so he could come out, and he has awesome size at 6-4/225. He only had 12 catches this year for 253 yards, but I dunno if that was due to Notre Dame's offensive design or what. Maybe he's just a really raw guy who could develop?
On the winning TD in the Citrus Bowl, he was interfered with with a DB hanging onto his arm, caught the ball one-handed, threw the one defender to the ground, juked the other guy, and walked in the end zone for winning score. Sure would love to see him doing that in purple.
Re: 2018 Mock Draft Thread: Not yours, Not mine, Theirs
I like Sutton quite a bit, but I think he's gone before Baltimore picks.

Fuck it. Ridley or Sutton in the first, AND Kirk or Moore in the second.
