who 2012 ravens defense would start on 2000 ravens defense?
imo?
reed, even though herring was some type of pro bowl participant that year
ngata over siragusa, and siragusa was fair but NOT displacing that sam adams, sorry
suggs would have 4 in the dirt and replace a very good rob burnett...wow
rob burnett coming in on rotation? damn!!!!
obviously NO lb's
and i would say webb over a very underrated starks..starks as a nickel?oh snap!!!!
pollard doesnt over an aging, but still highly productive after the move to safety version of rod woodson
in saying this ,its obvious that the 2012 guys who could were not replacing guys who were inferior by much..but the comparison over those who wouldn't)w the exception of pollard)is incredibly ridiculous to even attempt...ex:kruger vs boulware?mcclain vs sharper?ngata vs siragusa?
cary williams vs mccallister?LOL
I KNO ITS TEH 2000 DEFENSE
but damn
Re: who 2012 ravens defense would start on 2000 ravens defense?
Herring was the strong safety, Woodson was the free safety.
Reed would be replacing Woodson, which I don't think would be the right move because Woodson was much healthier.
On the other hand Pollard would be an upgrade over Herring.
I'd also replace whoever was the 2000 D's nickelback with Corey Graham.
Re: who 2012 ravens defense would start on 2000 ravens defense?
Yeah Bernard Pollard would start over Herring IMO. Corey Graham as pointed out above would be the nikel corner.

James Trapp was the 3rd corner and Robert Bailey the 4th but honestly the Ravens played base D so much (and there wasn't as many 3 and 4 WR sets then) that you could list you or I as the nickel corner and it wouldn't matter much. Those two played extremely well on special teams though but I would agree and say Corey Graham.

True, but both players were very capable when given the chance. Didn't Bailey have an INT in the AFCCG in Oakland? Or am I mistaken?

Webb over Duane Starks.
Marvin Lewis over Dean Pees.
