Now is it a bad thing that he did everything he did to help a friend? Not terrible. Understandable from a human point of view assuming he maybe struggled a little with the fact that he might have been depriving another non-presidential-friend emergency room victim lifesaving care. I think if it was a close friend I might have done that if I could. What I wouldn't have done is admitted i used my position of power to put MY friends needs ahead of all the other people in that waiting room without batting an eye and actually expecting people to see that as a GOOD THING.
It kind of shows you that Joe has the moral depth of a kiddie pool and makes you wonder what other kinds of kick backs favors and graft he can effortlessly engage in and delude himself into thinking are actually okay and actually even virtuous.
Awww come on!!!!! MY BOY CAN SELL HIS PAINTINGS TO MAKE MONEY!!!!! What a good boy he is using his art skills to make money!!!
People I think are waking up to the fact that dementia or no. Joe has always been kind of stupid/corrupt/disconnected from reality and the types of social norms most of us naturally live by. He's always been this way. He just has a congenial smile and at the most superficial of levels comes off as folksy or like your favorite uncle. In reality he's like a less competent and even dangerous version of Chauncy Gardner in "Being There"
